Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the RESCUE Remedy® and RESCUE Remedy® Pet?
RESCUE Remedy Pet contains the same trusted active formula as original RESCUE Remedy, but in an alcohol-free preservative of glycerine and water. Glycerine has a slightly sweet flavor.
How do I know what dose is appropriate for my pet?
The dosage of RESCUE Remedy Pet does not depend on the weight or type of animal. It depends on the situation of stress. RESCUE Remedy Pet is not a sedative, so find the dosage that works best for you and your pet.
How often can I give RESCUE Remedy Pet to my pet? Can my pet overdose?
RESCUE Remedy Pet is not a sedative and can be taken as often as required until you see a difference in your pet’s behavior. If the change is not noticed, one of the 38 individual Bach® Original Flower Remedies might be more relevant to treat your pet’s specific need. (Click here to go to the Bach website.) And, as with all conditions treated over the counter, you should seek the help of your veterinarian if the symptoms are persistent or deteriorate.
How long does it take to work?
Like people, every animal responds differently to stressful situations. In some cases, an immediate change in behavior is noticed while others take several days.
Does it interact with any other drugs or medication?
RESCUE Remedy Pet can be used complimentary to conventional medicine.
Can I give the original RESCUE Remedy to my pet?
The original RESCUE Remedy formula is safe to administer to your pet. The only difference between the original formula and the Pet formula is that RESCUE Remedy Pet is alcohol free. However, some RESCUE Remedy products such as RESCUE Pastilles contain ingredients like xylitol, which are unsuitable for pet consumption.
