Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between RESCUE REMEDY® and RESCUE REMEDY® PET?

RESCUE REMEDY® PET products contain the same trusted active formula as original RESCUE® brand products, but in an alcohol-free formula with glycerine and water. Glycerine has a slightly sweet flavor that many pets enjoy. Both formulas have been trusted worldwide for generations. The Pet formula comes in a bottle with a dropper.

Please see this page.

What is it used it for?

Please see this page.

How do I know what dose is appropriate for my pet?

The dosage of RESCUE REMEDY® PET does not depend on the weight or type of animal. It depends on the situation of stress. RESCUE REMEDY® PET is not a sedative, so find the dosage that works best for you and your pet. Always read the label and follow the directions.

How often can I give it to my pet? Can my pet overdose?

RESCUE REMEDY® PET is not a sedative and can be taken as often as required until you see a difference in your pet’s behavior. If the change is not noticed, one of the 38 individual Bach® Original Flower Remedies may be more relevant to treat your pet’s specific need. (For more, see this page about cats and dogs on BachRemedies.com.) And, as with all conditions treated over the counter, you should seek the help of your veterinarian if the symptoms are persistent or deteriorate.

How long does it take to work?

Like people, every animal responds differently to stressful situations. In some cases, an immediate change in behavior is noticed while others take several days.

Does it interact with any other drugs or medication?

RESCUE REMEDY® PET can be used complimentary to conventional medicine. However, if your pet is allergic to any ingredient found in RESCUE REMEDY® PET, it is not advisable to give it to them.

Can I give the original RESCUE REMEDY® to my pet?

The original RESCUE REMEDY® dropper formula is safe to administer to your pet. The only difference between the original and the pet formula is that RESCUE REMEDY® PET is alcohol free. Please note that some RESCUE® products, such as RESCUE® PASTILLES, contain ingredients that are unsuitable for pet consumption. Always check the label.

RESCUE REMEDY® PET contains a blend of 5 of the Bach® Original Flower Remedies tinctures developed by Dr. Edward Bach plus glycerine and water. The 5 remedies that make up the RESCUE REMEDY® formula are Rock Rose, Impatiens, Clematis, Star of Bethlehem, and Cherry Plum.
